WHAT OBLIGATIONS HAVE THE FOREIGN PARTNERS OF THE PUBLIC SECTOR?

JUDr. Milan Gocník, LL.M and Mgr. Adam Vozár have prepared a brief overview of requirements for foreign partners of the public sector that appeared in the 2018-19 Investment Advisory Guide published by The Slovak Spectator.
Foreign entities interested in operating in Slovakia and engaging with the public sector are often surprised at the country’s anti-shell company legislation. Subjects that are considered the public-sector partners are required to register in the Register of partners - special government information system that seeks transparency regarding the ownership and governance structure of companies entering into contractual relationships with the public sector (administrative departments, local governments and other entities handling public funds and property).
