HANS KELSEN’S PURE THEORY OF LAW TRANSLATED INTO SLOVAK

Pure Theory of Law, considered a cornerstone of legal literature, has been translated into Slovak for the first time.

It was written by Hans Kelsen (1881-1973), a major Austrian jurist and political theorist and the founder of “normativism”, whose name among lawyers needs no further introduction.

SOUKENÍK – ŠTRPKA and the Kalligram publishing house are honoured to have organised the introduction of the Slovak translation of the Pure Theory of Law (original title: Reine Rechtslehre), one of the most important works of legal philosophy of the 20th century. This book is considered his masterpiece and gradually came together over his active career.

It was introduced by Dr. Clemens Jabloner, a university professor and general director of the Hans Kelsen Institute in Vienna and the editors of EXEMPLA IURIS Prof. Alexander Bröstl and Prof. Pavel Holländer.
