Peter Štrpka, partner

JUDr. Peter Štrpka, PhD., founding partner of the law firm SOUKENÍK - ŠTRPKA.  During his practice he was a team leader in a number of significant acquisitions, mergers, legal audits, due diligence where he also provided legal services in relation to financing entities and competition authorities. He specializes particularly in commercial law with a focus on corporate law, financial law, competition law and energy law. In addition to practicing law, he was the Chairman of the Audit Committee of EXIMBANKA SR from 2008 to 2021, a member of the Legislative Council of the Government of the Slovak Republic from 2012 to 2020, and a member of the Examination Committee of the Judicial Academy of the Slovak Republic for the area of commercial law from 2019 to 2022. Currently, he is the Chairman of the Disciplinary Committee of the Slovak Bar Association (SBA), a member of the Working Group for Advocacy Matters and the Committee for the Compatibility of the Advocacy or Junior Associate Practice with other professions, as well as a member of the Committee of the Slovak Higher Education Accreditation Agency for the Assessment of Objections, the Legislative-Legal and Ethics Committee of the Slovak Football Association and a member of the Council of the Judicial Academy. Within his professional practice, he also engages in publishing activities (he is a co-author of the Commentary to the Advocacy Act, the Collection of Disciplinary Decisions of the SBA, as well as several professional articles).
