The donor conference “So That Children Can Remain Children” brought together leaders, experts and company representatives with the aim of seeking solutions for children, families and young adults in need. During four discussion panels, it addressed the topics of substitute care, assistance to young adults, support for families in crisis and accessible social housing.

On 13 February 2025, the donor conference “So That Children Can Remain Children” took place, providing an open discussion on solutions in the area of care for children and families in need. The programme was divided into four thematic panels: the future of children in substitute care, support for young adults after leaving home, assistance to families in crisis, and accessible social rental housing.

As part of the fourth panel, which, through Katka’s example, highlighted the importance of a stable and safe home for families in need, Lukáš Štefánik, partner at the law firm soukeník — štrpka, also spoke. The discussion focused on specific solutions in the area of social housing that can help people in difficult circumstances secure a fresh start.

The conference confirmed that the joint efforts of experts, organisations and companies can bring about real change and offer solutions capable of fundamentally improving the living conditions of children, families and young people in Slovakia.
