The expulsion of a pupil from school is a serious measure that requires a precise legal procedure. The webinar held on 24 March 2025, organised in cooperation with Nakladateľstvo FORUM and led by Mgr. Andrej Guba, LL.M., provided an overview of the statutory requirements, risks, and available remedies against incorrect decisions.
On 24 March 2025, a webinar entitled “Expulsion of a Pupil from School – Legal Requirements, Risks, and the Proper Procedure” was held in cooperation with Nakladateľstvo FORUM and delivered by Mgr. Andrej Guba, LL.M., managing attorney and specialist in education law from law firm soukeník — štrpka.
The webinar provided an overview of the legal framework and the basic concepts related to this process, as well as the individual forms of expulsion. It addressed the differences between conditional and final expulsion, the specific features applicable to different types of schools, and the legal procedure that schools must follow. Particular attention was also devoted to the requirements of a decision on expulsion, especially from the perspective of administrative law, as well as to the possibilities of lodging an appeal and bringing an administrative action as remedies.
